We are seeking a dynamic, creative, engaging, and experienced professional to serve as asa F. Seay business librarian for the washington university libraries. Reporting to the head of distributed libraries in the research and academic collaboration division, the asa F. Seay business librarian is an endowed position responsible for the overall planning and operation of the al and ruth kopolow business library to provide effective library services to faculty, students, and staff in the top ranked olin business school, as well as the university and wider community. The asa F. Washington university online seay business librarian is responsible for collection development and management for business; for research assistance, instruction and outreach, scholarly communication and publishing, and resource discovery efforts in business. The asa F. Seay business librarian contributes and participates in activities related to the university libraries assessment program and supervises staff of the business library.

Leads, plans, designs, directs and manages operations of the business library to provide effective services to faculty, students, and staff in the olin business school programs as well as the university and wider community. In conjunction with WUSTL libraries planning, contributes to the vision and direction of the business library, provides leadership in implementing innovative services and new technology. Participate in and develop specialized information literacy instruction for business majors and graduate student. Provide in-depth, subject-related research consultations as well as related services such as the creation and maintenance of web guides to support the discovery and use of information related to business. Establishes relationships with faculty, administrators and students to plan and promote library services.

Serves as liaison and provides outreach and research services to academic departments and programs. Provide general reference services, both virtual and in-person, for the university community as well as members of the public. In consultation with stakeholders, select and curate resources for the library’s collections. Designs, teaches, and assesses instruction sessions, including working with faculty to develop curriculum-integrated instructional programs. Engage in campus-wide initiatives, consortial partnerships, and regional, state, or national organizations as appropriate to foster new partnerships in support of the library’s goal to expand its reach through engagement and collaboration.
